All adjectives of Rama I will try to translate each adjective of Rama. To Janaki&#8217;s beloved Victory! To one who is praised by good people.<\/p>\n<p>Jaya= victory<br \/>\nJanaki = Sita ( Lord Rama&#8217;s wife, Janaka&#8217;s daughter)<br \/>\nKanta = beloved<br \/>\nSadhu = good\/sage<br \/>\nJana = people<br \/>\nVinuta = ( couldn&#8217;t get exact meaning someone here can elaborate. Nuta in Sanskrit is praised, vineeta is humble, vinuth is name of vishnu. All these found in Sanskrit dictionary)<\/p>\n<p>jayatu mahimAnaMta jaya bhAgyavaMta | jaya jaya ||pa.||<\/p>\n<p>Victory to you whose glory is infinite, victory to the one who has a good destiny<\/p>\n<p>Jayatu = victory to you<br \/>\nMahimimananta = mahima( glory\/fame)+ ananta( infinite\/ endless)<\/p>\n<p>Bhagyavanta= ( Bhagya is destiny, could mean bestower of good destiny or one who has good destiny or one who is destiny itself)<\/p>\n<p>dasharathAtmaja vIra dashakaMTha saMhAra pashupatIshvara mitra pAvana caritra<\/p>\n<p>One who is born of Dasharatha,  brave warrior, who killed RavaNa, friend of Shiva and who is good in conduct<\/p>\n<p>Dasharataatmaja = dasharatha ( Lord Rama&#8217;s father ) + atmaja ( born of him ) = Lord Rama<\/p>\n<p>Vira = warrior, brave warrior<\/p>\n<p>Dashakanta = one with ten heads( kantha= neck) = RavaNa<\/p>\n<p>Samhaara = killed, one who killed<\/p>\n<p>Pashupatheeshwara  = shiva ( one who is the Lord of paashupataastra?)<\/p>\n<p>Mitra= friend<\/p>\n<p>Paavana = good, holy<br \/>\nCharitra = conduct<\/p>\n<p>kusuma bANa svarUpa kushala kIrti kalApa<\/p>\n<p>The one who is Kama himself, skilfull and with a collection of accomplishments \/glory<\/p>\n<p>Kusuma baNa = the one with the flower arrow ( kusuma = flower, BaNa = arrow) = God of love, Kama who is supposed to be very good looking<br \/>\nKushala = skilfull<br \/>\nKirthi= fame, renown, glory<br \/>\nKalaapa = ( I couldn&#8217;t find the kannada meaning, ) in Sanskrit among other things it means collection off.  In this context I assumed this is right.<\/p>\n<p>asama sAhasa shikSha aMbujadaLAkSha ||1||<\/p>\n<p>One who is second to none in valour, who is humble and has eyes like the lotus petal<\/p>\n<p>Asama= unparalleled, un equaled, second to non<br \/>\nSaahasa = valour<br \/>\nShiksha =  humility ( has many meanings in Sanskrit &#8230; Chose what I felt was correct here)<br \/>\nAmbujadaLaaksha = Ambuja ( ambu = water+ ja = born of ; = lotus ) + dala ( petal) + aaksha ( eyes)<\/p>\n<p>sAmagAna vilOla sAdhujana paripAla<\/p>\n<p>One who enjoys the song consisting of the verses of Rigveda set to music and one who look softer the good people\/sages<\/p>\n<p>Samagaana = saama ( = rigvedic verses set to music, with notes) + gaana ( song, to sing)<br \/>\nVilola = enjoys<\/p>\n<p>Sadhu = good\/sage<br \/>\nJana = people<br \/>\nParipala = one who looks after<\/p>\n<p>kAmitArtha pradAta kIrti saMjAta<\/p>\n<p>One who is capable of giving anything that is desired,  and is always associated with glory<\/p>\n<p>Kaamitaartha = whatever is desired ( more explanation needed)<br \/>\n Pradatha = one who gives<\/p>\n<p>sOma sUrya prakAsha sakala lOkAdhIsha<\/p>\n<p>One who is resplendent with a brightness of both sun and moon and is the Lord of all the worlds<\/p>\n<p>Soma = moon<br \/>\nSurya = sun<br \/>\nPrakaasha  = bright, light<br \/>\nSakala = all<br \/>\nLokadheesha = lokaat ( worlds&#8217;) + eesha ( Lord)<\/p>\n<p>shrI mahA raghuvIra siMdhu gaMbhIra ||2||<\/p>\n<p>Oh! Great Brave warrior of the Raghu clan and one who is as calm as the ocean<\/p>\n<p>Shri = a way to address ( also means Lakshmi )<\/p>\n<p>Maha = great<br \/>\nRaghuveera = Raghu ( an ancestor of Rama, since Raghu, the family was known as the Raghu clan) + veera = brave warrior<\/p>\n<p>Sindu = ocean<br \/>\nGambheera= calm<\/p>\n<p>sakala shAstra vicAra sharaNajana maMdAra<\/p>\n<p>One who knows all there is to know of shaastras and is the heaven for people who are in his refuge<\/p>\n<p>Sakala = all, everything<\/p>\n<p>Shaastra = study, subjects, topics of study, scriptures<\/p>\n<p>Vichaara = content<\/p>\n<p>Sharanajana = sharaNa( = one who takes refuge) + jana ( = people)<\/p>\n<p>Mandaara = heaven ( again the word has multiple meaning in Sanskrit, used what makes sense here)<\/p>\n<p>vikasitAMbuja vadana vishvamaya sadana<\/p>\n<p>One whose face is like a fully opened lotus, whose house is the whole universe<\/p>\n<p>Vikasitaambuja = vikasita ( = opened, bloomed ) + ambuja ( = lotus)<br \/>\nVadana = face<\/p>\n<p>Vishvamaya = of the whole universe<\/p>\n<p>Sadana = home, place where you live<\/p>\n<p>sukRuta mOkShAdhIsha sAkEta puravAsa<br \/>\nVirtuous, the Lord of moksha and the one who lives in the city of saket<\/p>\n<p>Sukruta = virtuous<\/p>\n<p>Mokshadheesha = mokshat ( =of salvation) + eesha ( = Lord)<\/p>\n<p>bhakutavatsala rAma puraMdara viThala ||3||<\/p>\n<p>One who is affectionate to the devotee, Lord Rama,  oh! Vithala of Purandara<\/p>\n<p>Bhaktavatsala = Bhakuta ( = bhakta = devotee) + vatsala (=one who is affectionate)<\/p>\n<p>Raama = Lord Rama<\/p>\n<p>Purandara = a place in Karnataka<\/p>\n<p>Vithala = name of Krishna\/Vishnu<\/p>\n<p>Translated to the best of my ability<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This song is fully in praise of Rama.
